A beautiful sunny & warm day today with just a light breeze! Almost felt too hot, at only 23 deg & low humidity - think we will have some difficulty with the heat & humidity when we get home!
For our last day here we took the drive around the southern most tip of the Eyre Peninsula. The name Whalers Way refers to the use of this area, in the past, as a whaling station. Lots & lots of beautiful coastal scenery with rugged cliffs, big swells & waves, some beautiful beaches, often inaccessible, sinkholes, fissures & crevasses in the rock & lots of flowers. Did not see any wildlife other than the black tiger snake, photographed from the car!
Dinner tonight was fresh kingfish steaks cooked on BBQ wrapped in baking paper with garlic, shallot, olive oil, grated ginger, lemon juice & pirri-pirri. This was complimented by BBQ eggplant, zucchini, capsicum, onion, asparagus, potato, mushroom, tomato & garlic drizzled with olive oil & balsamic vinegar! Fish was very nice! All we were missing was a glass of wine - none left!
Tomorrow we head to Port Augusta for two nights.
