Broken Hill to Nyngan, NSW

Longest driving day of the trip today, 590 km! Came from Broken Hill to Nyngan. The countryside was again so green in areas that are usually dry red soil plains. Large areas were covered with small white flowers & looked just like snow drifts! Lots of water around, too.

Stayed at Riverside Caravan Park at Nyngan, on the Bogan River which was full & lapping at the banks. We had just finished setting the 'Penguin' up when the rain started, light rain for a while which then eased off only to be followed a short time later by a heavy thunderstorm downpour - the rain was so noisy on the van roof we could hardly hear each other talking! But no leaks!!

Dinner,anagrams, blog & bed. Light rain continued to fall most of night.

We can now just about smell home & will both be glad to get there - John now has the bit between his teeth &  just wants to head home! However it will take about another 2 or 3 days yet!  That's right we will probably arrive home on Tuesday or Wednesday! No time to add photos to this post yet!

By the way, as the weather is now generally warmer my favourite travel pants have been put away for now! The patches did survive washing, too!
