Home for 3 weeks!

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Hello everyone! Well it is 3 weeks today since we arrived home and we have been soooo busy!
Have had umpteen appointments including doctor, dentist, optometrist, Financial planner & accountant to do tax this week. The little caravan is cleaned, serviced, registered & advertised for sale, no takers yet!

Still have lots to tidy up & put away inside, I just want to be in the garden really! And now the house needs a clean after 3 weeks - why can't everything just stay clean! Have bought a new Electrolux 4 door fridge/freezer to replace the over 10yr old pigeon pair!  Only came in stainless steel finish, different after always having white! It's very nice, fridge on top, freezer below, still getting used to it! Bit of drama to get up stairs - had to remove sliding door at bottom of stairs, remove handrail & delivery guys had to remove handles from fridge/freezer. This was, of course, all pre-organised & all went smoothly on the day! Handrail & sliding door are yet to be replaced - by local handyman!

The garden has not had much attention for the past 15 months & with all the rain here this year everything has just grown! Have emptied 3 trailer loads of green waste & there will be 2 or 3 more loads by the time we finish cleaning up rest of garden! The two tall palm trees by the pool were removed on Friday as we were unable to reach the flower/seed heads & they make such a mess in & around the pool. Will send photos of garden with next post.

Bli Bli now has a Farmers Market at the Castle! Went for breakfast & a look around on Saturday. Very good selection of farm fresh produce & the Castle grounds make great venue. This market was at the Big Pineapple but they were kicked out when the 'Pineapple' sold recently, so the Castle said 'come here'. I hope they stay at Bli Bli! Met friends at market & had BBQ dinner with them in the evening - have not seen each other for a year, then twice in same day!! Very enjoyable!
Bli Bli, November,2010 - The new fridge; Palm trees going, going, gone! Farmers Market at Bli Bli Castle;
A Sugar Cane Fire, not often seen since the mill closed in Nambour. Some still harvesting & trucking to Maryborough.
